Abstract
The article is divided into four parts:the preface,the brilliant Tang music in historical records, the historical“authenticity” of “music from the Tang Dynasty”,and the “cultural imagination” of “music from the Tang Dynasty”.The author focuses on the“authenticity” of Dunhuang Pipa notation and the Tang Dynasty music,the “authenticity" ofthe“carrier”(Pipa) of Dunhuang Pipa notation,and the historical“authenticity”of WU Man's interpretation of Dunhuang Pipa notation,especially the interview between the author and the Pi- pa master WU Man,which embodies the special value and significance of “the music from the Tang Dynasty”, The Legacy of the Tang Dynasty ——WU Man's Performance of Dunhuang Pipa Notation.In the last“epilogue”, the author proposes to use the“Quzi”in"Dunhuang Pipa notation”contained in the Chinese culture's unique “phonological”thinking, Dunhuang Pipa notation rhyme rhythm to determine the “rhythm”of the idea,looking for the key to unlock the “rhythm”of Dunhuang Pipa notation,based on of which researchers can open the “cultural imagination”of “the Tang Dynasty music”with evidence.
