Abstract
Ravi Shankar,a renowned Indian musician, contributed significantly to the inheritance, dissemination, and development of Indian classical music throughout his life. This paper adopts an interdisciplinary perspective and employs the micro-sociological theory of interaction ritual chains to analyze the fusion of Indian and Western music led by Ravi Shankar. It focuses on the emotional energy and musical symbolic transformations within his interactions with musicians and audiences from diverse cultural backgrounds, aiming to identify the principal that drives cultural exchanges through interaction rituals.Furthermore, the systematic analysis of Indian music communication in Ravi Shankar is intended to integrate with the practical experience of cultural blending in China from the theoretical level, thereby advocating for an open and reciprocal cultural exchange pathway. This approach aims to further explore the sustainable global dissemination of Chinese culture.
