摘要
近年来,人工智能技术在各种创意活动中的应用呈指数级增长,这给艺术家尤其是音乐创作者们提出了一些十分重大的问题。人工智能技术是否只是作曲家和演奏家们在相应技术范围内可以选用的另一套工具,还是它有可能重新定义并最终取代人类的音乐创造力?文章将考虑音乐家对人工智能的各种反应,从一个不受质疑的技术决定论极端到生存焦虑的另一个极端。面对一项将深刻影响音乐家工作的外源性技术,他们迫切须要理解人工智能,将其概念化为音乐本体论的一部分,其中包括了人类行动者和非人类行动者。在这个尚且陌生的领域,我建议建立一套伦理框架,以支持和保护人类的能动性和创造力。
Abstract
The recent exponential increase in the adoption of artificial intelligence techniques across a wide range of creative applications raises several fundamental questions for artists,and music creators among them.Are AI techniques just another set of tools in the range of technologies available to composers and performers,or are they threatening to redefine,and eventually supplant human musical creativity?I will consider the full spectrum of musicians' responses to AI,from unchallenged technological determinism on one end to existential anxiety on the other. Faced with yet another exogenous technology that will profoundly affect their work,musicians are in urgent need of understanding AI and conceptualise it as part of an ontology of music that includes both human and non -human actors.In this unfamiliar context,I propose the development of an ethical framework to support and protect human agency and creativity.
