摘要
第一代美籍华裔作曲家周文中一生致力于在音乐创作中实现传统与现代、东方与西方音乐文化的交汇,其笔下的音乐结构逻辑缜密,音乐线条纵横交错,构成声音的交响。文章借用中国传统阴阳学说观念,针对周文中音乐创作中的对称思维展开探究,聚焦其自创可变调式体系与音乐作品中速度、节拍、音符时值、表情术语运用、整体结构布局层面对称思维特征的体现,挖掘在双重文化身份影响下,周文中如何通过对称思维的运用实现现代西方音乐语汇与东方美学的汇流。
Abstract
The first-generation Chinese-American composer Chou Wen-chung(1923-2019)devoted his life to integrating traditional and modern,Eastern and Western musical cultures in his compositions.His music is characterized by carefully structured logic and interwoven melodic lines that create a symphonic tapestry of sound.Drawing on the traditional Chinese concept of yin and yang,this paper explores the symmetrical thinking in Chou Wen-chung’s music.It focuses on his self-developed variable modal system to examine how symmetry is reflected in elements such as tempo,meter,note duration,expressive markings,and structural design.The study ultimately demonstrates how Chou's dual cultural identity led him to achieve a convergence between modern Western musical language and Eastern aesthetics through the application of symmetrical thinking.
